Kyven Gadson

Kyven Gadson is an American Freestyle wrestler. Gadson a Waterloo, Iowa nativehad an impressive high school career (113-12) under his father, Willie Gadson. At Iowa State University, he was a three-time All-American, three-time Big 12 Champ and won the 2015 NCAA Championships in the 197-lb weight class against Kyle Snyder.

Kyven is currently wrestling for the Cyclone Regional Training Center based in Ames, Iowa, and the Sunkist Kids. He will compete in the Olympic trials in April 2021 securing his ticket to the Tokyo games. Outside of wrestling Kyven is closely involved in the community and has helped found two non-profits in  2020. The Be Rare Initiative and the Black Wrestling Association are Kyven’s sources for pursuing his passions and building his legacy.
